You'll never get rid of me.

I'm still hooked.

After last weekend's epic return, I realized my heart still beats hard and fast in Montreal. Teetering behind the DJ booth (aka fold-out community centre tables) with Shay and DL watching Hatch and Merk melt minds at the sloppier-than-slutty afterparty for Friday's double-cooked Justice showdown was pure magic. Really took me back to the early days of hussling moog gear up and down stairs, printing a handful of handmade flyers and hitting the streets all day and night just to fill a sweaty little loft with fucked up friends who'll party till the cops come home. Fun is paramount. Hence the stamp-letter throw-back on the Shalloween the Third flyer, PEER PRESSURE USED TO PRINT OUR FLYERS BY HAND ONE AT A TIME! LIKE, FOR REAL!

I can't wait for Friday, Shalloween is our only party where just fam plays allllll night, and given the cracked-outfits that glow in our crowd on a normal night, Shalloween always guarantees an acid trip of get-ups to get down with. I'm def going as my own dancefloor, COME EARLY!!!

Keep your ears peeled for Jewstice, I'm refining my Hebrew to join Hatch behind the neon star of David in 2010.

Love you Montreal,

Liam Oscar Thurston the First

SO IF YOU'RE NOT ALREADY...GET-FAMILIAR ! ;)

Sinden is a unique producer/DJ who has revitalised the club scene with his own brand of forward thinking remixes and productions, clever mash ups and genre-melting DJ sets. Since Spring 2005, Sinden has remixed artists including Lady Sovereign , Lethal Bizzle , Plan B , Basement Jaxx , Chromeo , Bugz In The Attic , Switch , Bonde Do Role , Mr Hudson & The Library & Mark Ronson and collaborated on original material with Solid Groove , Jesse Rose , Herve & Trevor Loveys .

As of September 2006, Sinden landed himself a spot on the groundbreaking radio station Kiss, in the UK. The show runs from Wednesday night / Thursday morning from 1-2 and is the first of its kind in the UK to host an eclectic selection of music that includes Funk Carioca, Baltimore Club, Kuduru, Juke House, Southern Hip Hop, Dancehall, House/Electro and much more.

Sinden is also a resident DJ at London’s finest club, Fabric. From January 2007, Sinden alongside Switch program and DJ in the clubs main room under the banner of 'Get Familiar', on a bi-monthly basis. Sinden prides himself on being a versatile DJ capable of rocking any party, bringing his varied music tastes to the club and spinning the latest in House and Electro, Baltimore Club, Baile Funk, Hip Hop, R n B/Soul, Dancehall, House/Electro, Mash Ups, Global Rhythms, Miami Bass, Grime etc.

Fabric aside, Sinden's other DJ highlights include spinning at Basement Jaxx's club night called Inside Out in Brixton, London. Sinden was the only resident alongside Jaxx's Felix and Simon. Sinden was recruited as MIA’s tour DJ for 2007 and has been playing shows with her in support of her sophomore album Kala.

Production wise, it started when he forged a good friendship and musical understanding with Dave "Switch" Taylor and was taken under his wing to learn the production game. They created a production team called A.Brucker & Sinden and began to create progressive hip-hop, dancehall beats and other unclassifiable riddims.

Dave Taylor & Sinden's own label, Counterfeet launched in March 2006, its ethos: to have an open mind towards club music releasing records that they believed in. The debut release featured collaborations with A.Brucker & Solid Groove. The second release featured an EP by Radioclit called Mature Macho Machine.

The latest project for Sinden is the completion of the Count of Monte Cristal and Sinden album, due for release early 2008.

NICK CATCHDUBS

www.catchdubs.com

THURSDAY SEPT 20TH @ ACADEMY CLUB 10PM

DJ, graphic designer, former Fader Editor and always tastemaker Nick Barat aka Catchdubs, recently left Fader to work full-time on his
newly founded record label "Fools Gold" (co-run with friend A-Trak).

Nick will be on tour with the label come October, but is returning to Montreal first this Thursday Sept 20th to rock a Peer Pressure party.

Based in Brooklyn, Nick Catchdubs has been dropping his signature
party sets (hip hop, dancehall, electro, rock and more, with original remixes and re-edits for good measure, and an emphasis on new music) all across the country for the past three years. It's not an"everything goes" approach for its own sake, or a non-stop stream of smash-togethers. Just lots of different music, mixed well.

Equally at home opening a packed show for the Clipse or playing to a full house dying to see MIA or Lady Sovereign at their US debuts, Nick regularly shares stages with the likes of Ghostface, Spankrock, and the Pack, and DJs back to back with club champs like Diplo & Low Budget of Hollertronix, Flosstradamus, and Kanye West's DJ A-Trak. He has been a featured guest at The Rub in Brooklyn ("Best Party To Dance Sweatily To Smart Music" - Village Voice), and helped found the beloved Superfriends bash at Milk in San Francisco ("Best Serial Party" - SF Weekly)

On the production side, Nick' s blends, remixes, and re-edits have been getting play around the globe, from college radio to commercial stations like Power 106 in Los Angeles. His tracks have been featured on compilations and vinyl including The Rubs It's The Motherfucking Remix series ("Motherfucking brilliant" - Pitchfork) and the acclaimed Clipse mixtape "We Got The Remix." He's also working on original beats and production under the 908 moniker, including official remixes for Pharoahe Monch, Dr. Octagon, Hail Social, Adam Kesher and others.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!!!!!

Summer is almost over. Normally this would sadden me but Montreal has never been the kind of city to stop partying anyways. Also, I got a lot dope shows and parties lined up for the fall and winter so you'll all have plenty to look forward to. Another reason why I'm not saddened by the passing of summer is that I'm actually pretty happy with the summer I had. It's been good times all around although tiring at times.

At any rate, here are 2 videos from the 2 year anniversary jumpoff. Big shout out to Cedric for hooking this up. Enjoy!

I was really really wasted that night.

TITTSWORTH

Hailing from Washington DC and repping that Bmore sound, Tittsworth has continuously dominated decks at a plate-a-minute's pace. His last Montreal gig with Peer Pressure was off the hook. His diverse, high energy sets seamlessly blend club, rock, house, hip-hop, classics and more. He has grossly exceeded promoter expectations from Europe to the mid west. He was personally invited by DJ Craze to play Bass Session alongside Klever and Mixx (original dj from 2 Live Crew). Soon thereafter he was invited to join the Contagious Musiq Roster (featuring A-list talent along the likes of Goldie, Jazzy Jeff, A-trak, etc).

Titts sets have been religiously grouped amongst the best that many (popular tour stop) cities have experienced. His MTV live appearance alongside label mate DJ Ayres can be seen on www.tittsworth.com. He is listed as one of URB's NEXT 1000. In the Nation's Capital Titts maintains residencies at some of DC's most impressive venues. From heavy-weight industry parties to regular international appearances, Tittsworth continues to unique enegetic sets and memorable club experiences.

Titts recently signed to Plant Music for an original album deal, to be internationally distributed and published. Backed by Stretch Armstrong and Dominique (of The Glass). To feature Paserock, Kid Sister and many more TBA.
